About The OOSC Initiative

The OOSC Initiative is a 501(c)(3) public charity. "OOSC" is UNESCO's abbreviation for out-of-school children.

Our mission is to return out-of-school children in developing countries to classrooms and see them through higher secondary education, by funding charities that enroll, retain, and teach them, in that order.

We are a grant-making charity. Our program is funding partner charities that do that work — enrolling children who are out of school, keeping them enrolled, and teaching those who have fallen behind — working through government schools. How the program works · Why education comes first.
